Check Truck Routes and Road Limits

Navigation suggestions do not replace checks of truck dimensions, route class, and posted limits. Follow a semitrailer delivery as the driver and dispatch confirm the final miles before departure.

The final miles: which route?

You are driving a semitrailer to a city warehouse. Dispatch sends the address and phone navigation suggests a shortcut, but truck-category and height limits still matter.

BEFORE DEPARTURE · IDENTIFY THE COMBINATION

Truck class shapes route access

Check whether this combination is an STAA Truck STAA 尺寸组合车 and its trailer KPRA 主销至最后轴距离. KPRA ends at the rearmost axle, not the tandem center. California STAA access and a general Truck Route 卡车路线 sign are not interchangeable.

A correct street name is not enough

Near the warehouse, a sign posts Vertical Clearance 垂直净空. Compare it with the loaded height. Offtracking 内轮差 also explains why a trailer follows a different path through a turn. These terms do not replace maneuvering training.

ROUTE CHANGES · RECHECK

Detours and permits have conditions

Construction brings a Detour 绕行. Rather than applying a car route to the truck, you ask dispatch to confirm official access. An Oversize 超尺寸 move or Overweight Permit 超重运输许可 calls for its specific route, dates, and limits. A Pilot Car 引导车 depends on those conditions. The Bridge Formula 桥梁重量公式 addresses axle-group weight, not every posted bridge limit.
