Include everyday errands in your stop plan so you do not arrive and discover that they cannot fit. Adapt these practical checklists to your trip. Operator information and food-safety guidance are identified separately. Sources consulted: October 13, 2026.

Official food-safety guidance: Refrigerate perishable food promptly and keep the refrigerator at 40°F or below. Do not leave food needing refrigeration at room temperature for more than two hours, or one hour when the air temperature exceeds 90°F. Takeout and leftovers count. Normal appearance or smell does not establish safety. FDA food-storage guidance

In-truck preparation: Check the refrigerator or cooler with a thermometer rather than relying on its power light. Note the purchase or removal-from-refrigeration time and follow storage labels. Without reliable cold storage, buy enough for the immediate meal or choose shelf-stable food. Keep cleaning chemicals separate. Do not taste questionable perishables to decide whether uncertain temperatures or holding times were safe.

Useful record: “Food picked up: [time]. Refrigerated: [time]. Cooler temperature: [reading].” “取餐:[时间]。放入冷藏:[时间]。保冷箱温度:[读数]。”
